Instagram has long lacked an iPad native application, but that could change soon, at least according to a claim claim. That could be good news for iPad and Instagram fans who are tired of having to use a different device for their favorite social media site.
The information report quotes an Instagram employee who is supposedly aware of the plans. This worker states that Instagram Meta developer expects to take advantage of the agitation that faces Tiktok, who could be forced to sell his American business under pressure from the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to aim Tiktok users who could be looking for an alternative application.
While Instagram has never had a native iPad application, it has been able to execute it on Apple’s tablets for a while. This is because iPads can execute applications designed for the iPhone, although in the case of Instagram the experience is not well optimized for Apple’s tablet.
Instagram recently pointed to Tiktok owner of Bytedance in another way, debuting a video editing application called edits designed to compete with the Bytedonce capcut. Capcut was recently eliminated from Apple’s App Store due to federal restrictions in the applications of its parent company.
How to install Instagram on your iPad
While we expect a native Instagram application on the iPad, you can add the social media site to your Apple tablet in the form of a web application. This works as a normal application, so you can add to the dock of your iPad and be in the application switch.
First, go to Instagram.com at safari and log in. Touch the Share button and select Add to the home screen> Add. This places a web application on its iPad that starts Instagram. Touch the application icon that has appeared and log in again.
That is all you need to do. The web application has some restrictions compared to the native Instagram iPhone application: you cannot publish images, for example, but you can search feeds, send direct messages, such as publications and add comments.
For now, this method will have to be enough if you want an Instagram application on your iPad. But with a native application supposedly on the way, solution solutions like this may not be necessary for much longer.
