Microsoft has presented a new service designed to provide temporary and preconfigured cloud PC to customers when a primary physical device is out of service, whether lost, broken or delayed.
Windows 365 Reserve provides users instant access to PC in the cloud from any device through the Windows application or browser, and are ready to function, loaded with Microsoft 365 applications, corporate configurations and relevant security policies.
Managed through Microsoft Intune (as physical PCs), Windows 365 reserve is designed only for temporary use, with an annual use assignment of 10 days (which can be divided or used all at once).

Microsoft says that the new service is designed to guarantee the continuity of the business during events such as theft of devices, losses, delivery days or interruptions of the system. With temporary access, workers can continue as normal or administrators can choose to try new configurations away from their own primary device.
The company describes Windows 365 reserves as a “modern, safe and scalable offer designed for any type of worker throughout the organization to remain uninterrupted and productive, without the discomfort or the cost of administering PC lend lend lenders, temporary backup PC solutions or access VDI Legacy.”
Microsoft Modern Works vice president Stefan Kinnestrand said 76% of customers have informed having been affected by device theft incidents in the last two years, citing third -party investigations.
Price details have not yet been confirmed, and it is not clear if the service will work in a subscription -based model. Windows 365 Reserve is available in the previous view “soon”, with an online application process for customers to get early access.
At the same time, Kinnestrand lifted the wraps of other improvements less than Windows 365, while introducing a 20% discount for customers for the first time.
