Pakistani community in UK pays glowing tributes to armed forces, political leaders and nation
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq at a ceremony in London on Friday.
The event was attended by British MPs, councilors of Pakistani origin, businessmen, high commission officials, media representatives and a large number of prominent members of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK.
The term “Marka-e-Haq” refers to the 2025 conflict with India, which began with the Pahalgam attack on April 22 and concluded with a ceasefire on May 10 following Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
According to a statement issued today, Pakistan’s Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Haseeb bin Aziz, said that “the meeting paid the greatest tribute to Pakistan’s heroic armed forces; to its intrepid soldiers, sailors and airmen, who rose like an iron shield in defense of the sacred land.”
He further said that with “incomparable bravery, unwavering determination and exemplary professionalism”, the Pakistan Army had “defended the dignity and honour” of the flag.
