Islamabad:
Pakistan received on Thursday the decision of the United Kingdom Air Safety Committee to eliminate its airlines from the United Kingdom air security list, allowing the resumption of commercial flights to the United Kingdom after a five -year parenthesis.
“This historical decision is an affirmation of the sustained diplomatic and technical efforts of Pakistan in recent years. We have demonstrated our firm commitment to fulfill and defend the highest international security standards,” the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, said in a statement.
He said that the elimination of the ban marked an important restoration of connectivity.
