The Prince and Princess of Wales, who had taken charge of a major event at Buckingham Palace, had to post an update when Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor started making headlines again.
Prince William and Princess Kate have already taken on more duties as part of their preparation to be the next King and Queen.
The couple are understood to have strong views on the allegations against the disgraced former prince, who was involved in a terrifying incident earlier this week when he was chased by a man in Sandringham. The man was arrested on Wednesday but news of the events emerged on Friday.
To refocus attention on royal duties, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared an update, which was also a reflection of their thoughts on the matter: ignore Andrew and focus on royal work.
“Welcoming guests from across the United Kingdom to Buckingham Palace for yesterday’s garden party, recognizing their contributions to public service, charitable work and their communities,” the message reads, along with a video of attendees giving testimonies at the palace garden party.
“Hearing attendees say what the day means to them and celebrating their accomplishments and the impact they are making.”
At the end, the Prince and Princess of Wales thanked Rowan, Harry and Anna, who were representing their charities, along with others.
Alex Jenkinson, 39, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of a weapon.
He appeared in court on Friday and denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior with the intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence towards the king’s brother.
