On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Iran has not sought any military assistance from Pakistan or has made any request to relocate Iranian refugees to the Pakistani territory, amid high tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv.

Speaking in the Weekly Press Information Session, FO spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan confirmed that a formal Iran application for defense cooperation or refugee support had not been received. “We have not received any specific request for military support from Iran,” he said, added, “there has also been communication with respect to the Iranian refugee organization.”

The spokesman said that around 3,000 Pakistani citizens have returned from Iran in recent weeks, facilitated by Pakistani diplomatic missions.

“We appreciate the assistance provided by the Iranian authorities and congratulate the hard work of our consulates in Zahedan and Mashhad, as well as our Embassy in Tehran. We have a considerable Pakistani community in Iran … so anyone who wants to come, he or she is being assisted to move to the Pakistani,” he added.

Expressing a serious concern about the growing hostilities between Iran and Israel, Khan warned about broader regional implications.

“What is happening in Iran is a very serious problem. Imagine the entire regional and global security structure and impacts us deeply. The immediate priority is to find a friendly resolution and stop Israeli aggression,” he said.

He reiterated the long -standing position of Pakistan on the subject, condemning Israeli actions and expressing unequivocal support for Iran.

“Pakistan’s position on Iran is clear and consistent. We firmly condemn Israeli aggression and offer our full moral support to the Iranian people,” he said. “Israel’s actions violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran. According to the UN Charter, Iran has the right to defend himself,” he added.

When asked if Pakistan is trying to remain neutral in the Iran-Israel conflict that takes place, the spokesman firmly responded.

“Our support for Iran is fundamental, unequivocal and unequivocal. It is inconceivable that any Pakistani, or the government, puts itself on the side of Israel. We support diplomacy. We want this madness, this attack and this aggression against Iran,” he said. “

When commenting on Israeli attacks aimed at Iranian nuclear facilities, Khan described a “shameless violation” of international laws and the safeguards of the OIEA.

In response to a question about the recent interaction of the field marshal also with US President Donald Trump, in which, according to the reports, the latter commented that the Pakistani “understands better to Iran,” the spokesman said that such comments have diplomatic weight.

“Courtesy is essential for human interaction, especially in diplomacy. These words are positive,” he said. “And it is true: Pakistan has deep historical, cultural and linguistic ties with Iran.”

Regarding the speculation that the United States may be looking for Pakistan’s assistance in the Middle East, similar to its role during the Afghanistan conflict, the FO dismantled said notion.

“There is no special favor that is requested or extended,” Khan said. “Pakistan and the United States enjoy a broad and multifaceted relationship. We get involved in regional and security problems within the framework of mutual cooperation and friendship.”

Separately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the recent regulatory changes introduced by India in the Ladakh region, calling them a violation of the resolutions of the International Nations Security Council and the United Nations Security Council on Jammu and Cashmir. Pakistan asked India to immediately retreat the measures.

“We support all efforts aimed at achieving a negotiated resolution to the current hostilities and regional disputes,” concluded the spokesman.
