Islamabad:
The main military spokesman has said that Chinese weapons systems deployed during the four -day military conflict between Pakistan and India in May worked “exceptionally well.”
“Of course, lately, recent Chinese platforms, [Chinese weapon systems] “They have demonstrated exceptionally well,” said the general director of Public Relations Interservicios (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in an interview with Bloomberg.
Approximately two weeks after a militant attack in the Pahalgam area in the busy Kashmir, India launched a series of missile attacks and drones inside Pakistan, as of May 7.
However, hours after Pakistan’s retaliation attacks against several objectives in Continental India on May 10, New Delhi accepted the fire announced by US President Donald Trump.
During the interview, conducted last week and published on Monday, Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan does not participate in any arms race with India and has never tried to hide fact or figures.
However, he reaffirmed the performance of the Pakistan Air Force and the related platforms during the Marka-E-HAQ, the four-day conflict with India, and said that India did not tear down any Pakistani plane in that confrontation.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry said that the development strategy of the Pakistan army has always been based on the choice of effective and efficient platforms and the incorporation of Pakistani native technology.
The head of the ISPR made it clear that Pakistan is still open to acquire all kinds of technology, either national or east or West. “We are open to all kinds of technology,” he added.
A week earlier, Bloomberg had reported that US President Donald Trump had confirmed the demolition of seven Indian planes. The same report also mentions that during Marka-E-HAQ, the J-10C combat plane built in China, operated by Pakistan, proved to be very effective against multiple Indian airplanes, including rafales.
Bloomberg also pointed out that in August, Pakistan had announced the incorporation of the Z-10me attack helicopter into his arsenal. The report adds that Pakistan, in addition to Chinese weapons, also operates American-made F-16 combat aircraft.
