Indiana Fever star Lexie Hull almost never plays a WNBA game without first taking at least a 20-minute nap.

It’s one of his many pregame rituals centered around his “look good, feel good, play good” mentality.

“For me, before a game, I always take a nap before the game, and then as soon as I wake up, I do my skincare, my makeup, my hair, and I pick out a walk-in outfit, and that’s been my routine for the last four years at the W,” Hull told Pak Gazette Digital, adding that the nap is his favorite part of the routine.

“I’ll take a nap at home or at the hotel, so I’ll take a nap five hours before the game… everyone has their version, I think most of my teammates are taking a nap.

“It feels low-maintenance…some people don’t like to put on makeup and they don’t like to get ready, but I love all of that.”

One of Hull’s signature pregame beauty steps is keeping her nails in check. He has previously said that it is even one of his superstitions.

“I like to get my nails done before I play. It’s like looking down and feeling good. So if there’s a chip and the nail is broken, I’ll fix it the morning or the night before the game to make sure everything’s ready for the game, and that’s just a personal preference,” he said.

“I think the idea of looking good, feeling good and playing well has always resonated with me. Showing up as my most confident self, my most confident self has been important because I feel like I can perform at my highest level.”

Hull’s commitment to beauty routines has manifested itself in her own personal beauty brand, FORTA Cosmetics. It has partnered with athlete-led marketing platform Faves, which enables athletes to capitalize on business opportunities beyond traditional sponsorship models by giving athletes’ fans access to their products.

“Athletes live under extreme conditions many times when they exercise and play, and I partnered with Favorites at launch to see female athletes on their platform… so we could get [FORTA] in their hands and get them to try it and try it to see if they like it and share it with their audience,” Hull said.

Hull is set to begin her fourth season with the Fever and third with fellow superstar Caitlin Clark. Hull led Indiana through the WNBA playoffs last season after Clark was injured, falling one game short of reaching the finals.
