LAS VEGAS – WrestleMania is one of the biggest sporting events.
It’s WWE’s main event, combining the fanfare of the Super Bowl with the hard-hitting action of combat sports. Major feuds in the company will come to an end as fans hold out hope for a major comeback or surprise appearance from one of their favorite stars.
For the professional wrestlers themselves, the event means a little more. It’s the culmination of everything they’ve worked for and a chance to showcase their skills to an audience of thousands in a stadium and millions watching at home.

You can just look around this room and see how it brings so many people together. There are so many events happening. Many people can come and meet their favorite fighter. And for me, that’s what it’s all about. No matter what’s going on in your life, wrestling can take it all away and get a little more personal with it. It’s great for me.
Alex Shelley
“A lot of people who don’t watch pro wrestling will watch WrestleMania. I feel like this is the Mecca to the point where it’s equivalent to the Super Bowl. People who are on the sidelines, who only hear about pro wrestling, are going to see this event. Our artists and athletes in this company, people who we are co-workers with, go out and really give everything they have to capture those people.”

“To me, as a kid, WrestleMania always felt like I was on another planet because of the theatrics, the stage, the fireworks, the people in costumes, not just the wrestlers and the performers, but the people in the crowd. They treat it like they’re going to a prom or a 50th wedding anniversary. They plan all year long, they dress for it and they’re prepared. And it felt like it was on another floor, like it was so out of reach because when you’re in the stadium, everyone that’s there, nothing else matters in the world, you know? Like nothing on the outside of that stadium matters except what’s there and just you and now, 80,000, 90,000 people are experiencing it together.

“And for me, that’s a very special feeling that’s hard to explain unless you’re there. Even when you’re watching TV, it’s like you want to be there. For me, it’s very special because my family and my friends, you know, can’t come to every match. They can’t come to every match as much as they would love to, or WrestleMania is an excuse for them to leave the state, leave their house and come all together and there for me, but it’s just one of the rare times where everyone They get together. So I think that happens with fans too. You might have a group of friends that you only see once a year and it’s at WrestleMania or you might just see your crazy uncle at WrestleMania and it’s a very special night…two nights!

“I think if everyone is on the same page, this is the pinnacle of everything they’ve worked for all year. This is the biggest show in professional wrestling. Everyone who puts in the effort makes the show that much bigger. It’s a spectacle. It’s the biggest thing in sports entertainment.”
Danhausen
“Everyone grew up watching WrestleMania. As a wrestler, that’s the dream. It’s the number one thing in the world of wrestling.”

“I mean, it’s like our Super Bowl. You look forward to it all year. This is where legends are made and it’s the biggest show of the year. There’s so much involved and only the bullied make it to the card.”
WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPION JADE CARGILL TALKS WHY SHE HAS THE ADVANTAGE OVER RHEA RIPLEY AT WRESTLEMANIA 42

“It’s our Super Bowl. All of our storylines are coming to an end, but new storylines are also forming because we have Raw on Monday, which is the biggest Raw of the year after WrestleMania because the storylines are coming out of ‘Mania. It’s the payoff of everything. Rhea and I’s story started around February at Elimination Chamber, and it came out of nowhere. It’s the payoff of everything. They’re the biggest matches of the year, the biggest entries of the year, the best team of the year… They’re the biggest nights of entertainment. But you see a lot of hard hitting and a lot of excitement and that gets people very involved and that’s why we continue to have so many fans that continue to show up and show up for us every year.

“WrestleMania is the culmination of all the hard work from the entire year up until this moment where you go out and show every single person who you are and what you’re made of and I think it’s a great testament to the wrestlers themselves to get to a ‘Mania because it’s like I finally get to do what I’ve always dreamed of doing. Everyone wants to wrestle at WrestleMania. To be able to achieve a dream that you’ve had since childhood, if you haven’t experienced it, I don’t know, it’s kind of a supernatural feeling.”

“It feels like the first time every year that all of wrestling comes together for one event. So even if you can’t afford the tickets to go to WrestleMania, there are all these amazing independent shows going on that week that you can watch, and everyone enjoys wrestling together. The Super Bowl of wrestling is honestly the best way to put it. The way I fell in love with wrestling, honestly, was with the smaller shows, honestly. It really, really was. I didn’t. “They allowed me to watch wrestling when I was a kid, so going to these more intimate shows allowed me to connect with the performers and it wasn’t until later that I understood the joy of WWE, but it was the independent shows that got me hooked, honestly.”
Sol Ruca
“To hear some of the fans talk about what WrestleMania means to them because, again, I didn’t grow up watching wrestling, I was never really a fan, but to hear some of the fans during the meet and greets say, ‘I saved up all year for this moment,’ like, ‘I saved up so I could buy this merch so I could go to the show and meet you,’ and it’s really cool to see how passionate people are. Especially, people who aren’t in the business.
Tony D’Angelo
“It’s the Super Bowl of professional wrestling. It’s the culmination of everything you did throughout the year. All the hard work. All the training. All the ups and downs of what happened throughout the year. I mean, WrestleMania is special. Every WrestleMania, something unexpected happens or someone wins that you didn’t think was going to win. It’s always a good time.”
