7. We tried Spider-Man: Brand New Day for the first time

We’ve already seen a trailer, but the first extended clip of Spider-Man: New Day was shared at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas and there’s a lot to dig into. In addition to what it tells us about the next Spidey movie (hitting theaters on Friday, July 31), it also hints at a retcon that could have an impact on the next two. Avengers cinema.
This is mostly speculation until we can see the movie for ourselves, but everything is now perfectly set for Tom Holland’s return as the web-slinging superhero. At the same CinemaCon 2026 event, we also received two excellent new posters for the film; Check them both out via the link below and let us know which one you prefer.
6. There was a new twist to the ban on foreign routers in the US.

The US administration recently banned the release of new routers made in foreign countries, apparently for national security reasons. One of the companies expected to be affected by the ban was Netgear, but this week we received news that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will give a pass to Netgear routers.
Netgear told us it filed a waiver request based on FCC guidelines, which take into account a company’s future plans as well as current manufacturing processes, and that may be what made the difference here. Whatever the details of the fine print, this is still a somewhat confusing decision by the FCC.

3. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 finally landed

After months of rumors and speculation, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 has finally landed, and it looks to be a major improvement over the Pocket 3 that preceded it. GoPro has been pretty quiet lately, but that changed this week, when we received three new models from the camera company.
