Sustainability Week 2026

As part of Sustainability Week here at TechRadar, we’re looking for devices that are useful and planet-friendly, and the new Chipolo x Secrid Miniwallet Trackable certainly fits that description.
It’s Bluetooth tracker experts Chipolo teaming up with specialist wallet makers Secrid to create something that can carry your cash and cards, and can also be found quickly from your phone if it gets lost.
As for sustainability credentials, the wallet is produced locally in Europe and is made from “responsibly sourced materials”, including at least 50% recycled plastic for the tracking card device and ethically sourced leather for the wallet.
Article continues below.
The wallet is capable of holding a few bills, plus up to nine cards, which slide from the top of the wallet using a patented system that Secrid uses in some of its other wallets. The overall size is 21mm x 65mm x 102mm (0.8 x 2.6 x 4.0 inches).
“Born from a shared belief in thoughtful design and local production, Chipolo and Secrid created this wallet to enhance your everyday life,” the marketing blurb reads. “The Secrid Miniwallet is precisely tuned to allow the Chipolo card to function at its full potential.”
You can pre-order the wallet now in the US and UK for $140 and £120 respectively, from Amazon or Chipolo’s website (so far, there’s no news of an Australian launch). Its two color options are black and blue.
Cross-platform compatibility
As the wallet comes with a built-in Chipolo card tracker, it can be located through the Chipolo app, as well as through the device tracking apps available from Apple (Find My) and Google (Find Hub).
In addition to seeing where your wallet is on a map, you can have the Miniwallet Trackable emit a sound of up to 110 decibels so you can determine exactly where you’re going. Apparently, the wallet has been specially designed to maximize that level of volume.
You can also do reverse tracking: There’s a button on the wallet you can press that will trigger a sound on your smartphone, as long as you have the Chipolo app installed. If you have your cards and cash but can’t find your phone, this can help.
The card tracker should last about a year between recharges, depending on how often you lose it and have to activate your doorbell, and recharging can be done via any Qi-compatible wireless charger.
Without having tried it, I’m impressed by what the Miniwallet Trackable offers compared to, say, Apple AirTags: you don’t have to remember to include an extra tracker and it can be easily tracked from Android and iOS devices.
As someone who uses many Apple and non-Apple devices on a daily basis, cross-platform compatibility is really a must. If you’d rather have the Chipolo card on its own, it’s yours for $38.99 or £38.99.
