WWE star Kit Wilson needed to go through some character changes before appearing again on “Friday Night SmackDown.”
She lost her teammate Pretty Deadly due to a serious injury and needed to start her own individual career. While the recent run has not yielded any championships so far, it has been able to draw attention in a way that has never been seen before on WWE TV.

Wilson’s gimmick calls out toxic masculinity among his fellow professional wrestlers. She reads poetry, writes in her diary, and calls out “toxic” superstars.
He told Pak Gazette Digital that he believed “things are getting better.”
“I feel pretty good,” Wilson said before WrestleMania 42. “You know, obviously, it came from a sad place, it came from a dark place, losing my teammate. He’s injured right now. I miss him. I hope he comes back. But yeah, we’re on a trajectory right now. We’re on a one-on-one career right now. Things are looking up.
“I feel more confident than ever. I’m more passionate than ever. I feel this fire inside of me. And look, things haven’t gone the way I wanted them to. I’ve been losing. I’ve been losing. I’ve been cursed. I’ve been cursed. I feel so good, I’m moving forward. I’m pushing to the top and I won’t stop until I get to the top.”
Wilson’s character has become so popular that he has been able to attract new fans.

The average sports fan who may not be interested in WWE or is just passing through SmackDown while flipping channels has been able to stop and watch Wilson in action.
“I think it’s a very big and important thing for me. When I started, there were a lot of people I looked up to who weren’t the stereotypical people. I didn’t like the ‘bad–‘ type, I didn’t like the bold, aggressive, angry guy for no reason. I liked vibrant characters. When I started on the independent scene in the UK, Noam Dar, who is now in NXT, I looked up to him a lot because I felt like I identified with him more.
“So for me to be able to do this specific character in this moment, this era of Kit Wilson, it’s kind of inspiring because those who maybe see themselves through him because he’s not the stereotypical aggressive, angry, ‘toxic’ man, yeah, I feel really good about that.”
Wilson was not scheduled for a match at WrestleMania 42, but did appear in a segment with John Cena, The Miz and Danhausen.
Unfortunately, he ended up with Danhausen’s allies punching him in the groin.

Still, going from being a mid-card singles competitor to being involved in WrestleMania in any capacity is a huge accomplishment in itself.
