The 2026 blockbuster movie season is almost here, and the TechRadar entertainment team needs your help determining what will be the most anticipated new movie of the summer (or winter, for those of you who live south of the equator).
A host of exciting new films, covering countless genres and varied age ranges, will hit theaters between now and early September. In fact, with the first Star Wars movie in almost seven years, the first Marvel movie of 2026, and new sci-fi and historical epics from award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan, respectively, there will be plenty to choose from in the coming weeks and months.

It’s a lot harder than you initially expected, right? As a huge Spider-Man fan, I would choose Spider-Man: New Daywhich is the first of two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films set to debut in theaters this year.
However, there are many other interesting options that also deserve to be chosen in May and June. Will you go all-in? The Mandalorian and Grogu at the end of may? How about the next installment in Pixar’s long-running series? toy story film franchise? Or, how about we go with DC instead of Marvel and take a look? supergirl?
spider man 4 However, July will also bring us the aforementioned offerings from Spielberg and Nolan in Disclosure Day and The Odyssey —Will you select one of that pair? Or will you wait until August to see the latest news? Insidious movie or other hybrid animated and live-action film in Coyote vs. Acme?
