‘No viewfinder, no deal’: Why Nikon’s rumored new full-frame compact is already dividing fans

  • Nikon expected to launch compact full-frame camera with fixed lens
  • It could have a similar form factor to the Nikon ZR, i.e. without a viewfinder.
  • This is despite the fact that it is supposedly for photography, without video capability.

Nikon could be working on a compact fixed-lens camera to compete with popular models like Fujifilm X100VI, Ricoh GR IV, Sony RX1R III and Leica Q3, and its rumored specs make for, shall we say, interesting reading.

This is according to Nikon Rumors, which suggests that Nikon will launch a full-frame compact this year, having changed course since earlier this year when it was suggested that a photography-focused variation of the Nikon ZR mirrorless cinema camera was on the way.
