Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life caused by “devastating floods and extreme weather disruptions” in Turkiye, and expressed his condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people.

He noted that floods and bad weather had affected the provinces of Gaziantep, Sanlıurfa, Adiyaman and surrounding regions, causing “loss of lives and precious property.”
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support, the prime minister said: “Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Turkiye in this time of grief.”
“Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and all those affected by this natural calamity,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also assured that “Pakistan stands ready to provide any humanitarian or material assistance that Turkiye may require in its relief and recovery efforts.”
