First Hangor-class submarine arrives

KARACHI:

The first Hangor class submarine, PNS/M Hangor, arrived in Karachi and received a traditional naval welcome by senior naval officers, crew families and Pakistan Navy personnel.

Pakistan Naval Academy cadets presented a ceremonial salute to the incoming submarine and its crew, accompanied by a flyover of PN Z9EC helicopters, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Public Relations (Navy).

The submarine is equipped with advanced combat systems, modern sensors, air independent propulsion (AIP) technology and enhanced stealth features, which will increase the combat capability of the Pakistan Navy.
