- Allows users to request user recommendations from ChatGPT.
- The LLM aims to handle manual configurations.
Do you love using the best VPNs to watch your favorite series, but hate spending hours on Google trying to figure out which country has the streaming rights or what server you need to access it? Then you’ll be pleased to know that PureVPN has found a new way to eliminate those tedious manual steps and help you focus solely on your heavenly VPN experience.
The VPN has announced an integration with ChatGPT, allowing its users to send service-related requests to the LLM and have manual settings handled by the AI assistant, ready to be applied with a single click.
PureVPN app is now available on ChatGPT Application Directory for users in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
How does PureVPN’s ChatGPT Co-Pilot work?
Even if you already know how to use a In a virtual private network (VPN), finding the right server or setup can be complicated and time-consuming, especially for those who are not particularly tech-savvy.
PureVPN’s integration with ChatGPT aims to allow its users to resolve any configuration issues without having to resort to after-hours manual trial and error on Reddit.
Previously, ChatGPT could only provide general tips and instructions, but could not guide users through effective manual configurations of Pure VPN. With the new version, AI can interact with the PureVPN infrastructure from end to end.
PureVPN just became the first VPN to have an official app on ChatGPT. No more scrolling through server lists or guessing which location to choose. Simply tell ChatGPT what you want to do, whether it’s stream, play, or secure your connection, and the app will take care of the rest.… pic.twitter.com/WXywPGNpIvJune 11, 2026
Specifically, when you type @pureVPN while using ChatGPT to send a request related to any VPN configuration on PureVPN, the AI will determine the appropriate configuration, including which server or location, or any additional optimized configuration required for that task.
ChatGPT will then generate a single button, allowing users to launch the VPN app with those settings already configured via secure deep linking.
PureVPN provides several examples of how ChatGPT can immediately solve user problems. For example, a remote worker using a public Wi-Fi network and asking ChatGPT for a secure connection will see the AI select a highly encrypted local node and display a “Connect Now” button to instantly protect the user’s privacy.
Similarly, a streamer requesting a server optimized for video traffic to watch their favorite show will be presented with a “Watch Now” button, with the show ready to stream.
Privacy first
If your concerns revolve around privacy and whether your VPN settings could be exposed while using ChatGPT, PureVPN manager Shoaib Usman reassures you that the integration follows strict data isolation limits.
“OpenAI cannot see PureVPN – ChatGPT merely acts as the initial guidance layer,” he tells TechRadar. “The moment a user clicks the deep link, control passes 100% to our native app.”
Basically, the entire network encryption and routing process happens locally on the user’s device, completely isolated from OpenAI’s servers.
The system ensures privacy in both directions, as PureVPN also cannot see ChatGPT, as the OpenAI ecosystem strictly protects third-party applications.
“PureVPN does not have access to the user’s broader chat history, account data, or other conversations. We only receive the specific text explicitly directed to use through the mention of PureVPN,” adds Usman.
However, it is important to emphasize that the decision to share information with ChatGPT, including your intentions regarding your personal use of the VPN, is entirely up to you and is not the responsibility of PureVPN.
While for streamers and gamers, the convenience of allowing ChatGPT to configure the VPN may outweigh any privacy concerns, more privacy-conscious users might prefer to stick to older methods for their manual configurations.
While PureVPN claims to be “the first VPN” to commercially transform an AI-powered interface into an interactive dashboard, the hype around AI has been catching on recently with more and more VPNs, with ExpressVPN and NortonVPN are at the forefront of AI agent integrations. And we hope this trend continues.
