Queen Camilla is taking an unexpected step for the sake of her husband, King Charles, as big changes are anticipated for the royal family.
Last week, Prince Harry and his family finally met the King in a private meeting at Highgrove House, and Camilla was also present throughout it. Harry and Meghan were reportedly very happy that their children had finally met their grandparents. Charles was also delighted to see Archie and Lilibet.
While the details of the meeting were kept strictly under wraps, it also sparked speculation about what’s next for the Sussexes.
It appears Camilla is reluctantly making a change of heart because he “wants peace” and “loves” her husband, according to a Palace source, via gossip columnist Rob Shuter.
“She has seen the fracture of this family in public, and if there is a chance to heal it, she will support her husband,” the source said, noting that her forgiveness “does not erase the memory” of everything Harry had said and done.
Another royal source agreed that Camilla believes Harry could turn against the royal family once again if things don’t go his way, causing more public relations mess.
“His priority is to protect the king from another round of distress. He will not allow Charles to be surprised twice.”
At the same time, she isn’t causing any friction with William because she knows that one day he will sit on the throne, but she needs to have peace for now.
