More than half of all new music on streaming sites is now generated with artificial intelligence, and the number is growing rapidly, but one platform is hitting hard

  • Deezer announces that more than half of all daily music uploads are generated by AI
  • The platform also announces stricter exclusion criteria for AI.
  • Deezer says AI is largely used for ‘streaming fraud’ and is cracking down

If you haven’t seen an AI commercial, social media post, or Minion meme, then you’re in luck. I can’t say I’ve listened to much AI-generated music (at least not that I know of) but I try. very It’s hard to actively avoid it.

Despite this, major streaming service Deezer has announced that more than half of all tracks uploaded to its library in June 2026 were slop songs. There are more than 90,000 new themes, and none of them were created by people.
