Dogecoin fell 4.5% and ether fell 2.5% on Friday, causing a broad but shallow pullback in major currencies as the market consolidated a strong week, according to data from CoinDesk. XRP and Solana each fell around 2.5%, while bitcoin held up better, down 0.6% to around $65,400.
The setback barely affected the weekly outlook. Bitcoin is still up 3% in seven days, ether is up 1.8% and most major companies remain green for the week, with Hyperliquid the exception with a 3.5% drop.
There was no single catalyst behind Friday’s move, more of a pause after the run-up than a reversal.
