- Pearl Abyss Adds New Content to Crimson Desert Via Update 1.13
- The update adds new outfits, gear, and equipment for all three playable characters.
- Oongka can now wear the same clothes that Kliff wears
Pearl Abyss has gone further with crimson desertthanks to a huge amount of content available at launch and constant updates in recent months, and it doesn’t take its foot off the accelerator.
crimson desert has a new batch of content, with update 1.13 introducing new gear and outfits for all three playable characters, Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, including expanded “dyeable gear options.” Additionally, both Oongka and Damiane will now be able to enter the Abyss and once again face the bosses initially created for Kliff.
It’s another substantial update for the beloved 2026 hit, as the South Korean studio’s developers continue to listen to fan feedback and fine-tune areas that could use more content.
Frankly, the game’s continent, Pywel, is packed with activities to participate in, gear to find, and bosses to encounter, but one aspect has arguably been neglected since launch.
Both Oongka and Damiane are characters who feel like they’ve gotten the short end of the stick in terms of clothing and equipment, and thankfully that’s what this update addresses.
Notably, Oongka can now equip “most of the outfits available to Kliff,” further expanding the supporting character’s customization options. It’s a change I’ve been looking forward to, as it should give me a lot more incentive to use Oongka, particularly to replay boss battles while properly equipped.
Even with my 236 hours playing crimson desertIt still feels like there’s a lot more to discover, especially now that Pearl Abyss is constantly improving the experience, and it’s worth noting that an expansion is already in development.
It’s also quite fascinating to see that four months after its release, crimson desert has a 24-hour peak of 26,659 players on Steam, which is incredibly rare (or at least, difficult) for any single-player game to sustain after release. Hopefully that will continue to be the case, as I think Pearl Abyss deserves all the success and praise for their efforts in crimson desert.
