It’s time for xenomorphine, Extraterrestrial: Earth fans, because filming for the second season of the sci-fi horror show is reportedly underway.
According to Variety, cameras have started rolling on the next installment of the Foreign franchise television show. It is unknown how long it will take to film the second season, but the common consensus among fans is that Extraterrestrial: Earth Season 2 could arrive in late 2027. With principal photography beginning in earnest, that release window remains a possibility.
We may not know when it will return, but we do know who will be joining the cast of the next episode of the Hulu and Disney+ show.
In fact, Variety says comedy icon and actor Tracey Ullman (The Tracey Ullman Show, Petty thieves), Sam Spruell (fargo, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Jerome Flynn (game of Thrones, 1923) have all tackled the FX TV Original. The trio is joined by Peter Dinklage (game of Thrones, roofer) on the newcomer front: the latter signed in April.
Tyrion and Bronn ride again
Ullman and Spruell’s additions to the Extraterrestrial: Earth The season 2 cast is certainly eye-catching.
To me, the former’s involvement suggests we’ll get more of the human eccentricity and dark humor that was occasionally on full display in the series’ debut season. As for Spruell, his inclusion means he will once again team up with Extraterrestrial: EarthCreator and showrunner Noah Hawley, who worked together on season 5 of fargoanother FX television show developed by Hawley, which came out in 2024.
However, it’s Flynn’s casting that has me excited for this show’s next outing.
The partnership between Flynn’s Bronn and Dinklage’s Tyrion in game of Thrones was, and remains, an undisputed highlight of the legendary fantasy show. The prospect of seeing these actors relive their on-screen chemistry in Extraterrestrial: EarthSo, it’s incredibly tempting. And while I’m sure Hawley has better things to do than read this article, hey, the guy’s really busy right now! — I would implore you to put Dinklage and Flynn in a room together as much as possible so we can all enjoy watching these actors collectively chew up the scenery.
