He will be joined by many familiar faces as he looks to work his magic in his new role, including Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple’s Keeley Jones and Brendan Hunt’s Coach Beard. Brett Goldstein’s Roy Kent and Jeremy Swift’s Leslie Higgins are also part of the process, although it’s unclear how involved they will be in the larger narrative.
As for those who joined the cast, Tanya Reynolds (Sex education), Jude Mack (Waiting for departure), Faye Marsey (Andor), Rex Hayes (The Covenant), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World: Dominion), and Abbie Hern (Peaky Blinders) will play prominent members of the Greyhounds women’s team. However, there is still nothing to report about the characters they will play.
As for the story, here’s the official blurb for the next installment of the critically acclaimed Apple TV Original: “In season four, Ted returns to Richmond and takes on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women’s soccer team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking risks they never thought they would take.”
Before revealing the official season 4 release date, Waddingham had all but confirmed that Ted Lasso Season 4 would arrive in August. Before doing so, Apple had only announced that Ted Lasso 4 It would be out sometime in mid-2026. However, as I mentioned, with the next EPL season starting at the end of August, it was inevitable (at least for me, anyway) that the Jason Sudeikis-led program would drop out sometime that month.
