Twelve people were reportedly killed in a plane crash Sunday in Butler, Missouri, the state highway patrol posted on social media.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred near Butler Memorial Airport.
“At this time reports indicate that all occupants (12 in total) have died,” the agency wrote in a post on X.
The victims included 11 paratroopers and a pilot, a Bates County Emergency Management spokesperson told the local television station. fox4.
Butler is about 60 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri.
Emergency crews and officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are reportedly on scene.
