- Belkin launches two new accessories for Nintendo Switch 2
- The Charging Grip aims to improve convenience and extend battery life.
- It could help solve one of the Switch 2’s biggest challenges with portable gaming: shorter gaming sessions.
Ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2’s one-year anniversary on June 5, Belkin is expanding its line of accessories for the popular hybrid portable gaming console with two new additions.
While you might think of Belkin as a maker of wall chargers, power banks, and screen protectors for your iPhone, the accessory brand has offered some pretty impressive products for the Switch 2. I’ve already written about the charging case for the Nintendo Switch 2, which has been available for several months, and we even rated Belkin’s screen protector for the console four and a half out of five stars.
This serves as a reminder to me that I may need to invest in one, as I almost exclusively use the Switch 2 as a portable device. And that brings me to the Belkin Charging Grip for Switch 2, which is available now for $99 / £69.99 / AU$149.
The general idea here is that it fits around the Switch 2 for a more comfortable gaming experience, although it does add a little more weight to the unit. It also features magnets on the back, allowing you to easily attach a power bank, which is included.
And for me, that’s the big win here. We’ve seen other power solutions, including from Belkin, but you usually have to try to hold the battery or leave it dangling. Here, it snaps into the back and the included cable can easily be connected to the Switch 2 to solve one of my biggest problems: battery life in handheld mode.
For longer gaming sessions, which the battery naturally helps enable, and to improve overall ergonomics, the grip also wraps around the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons. Perhaps most importantly, the grips are non-slip and still allow you to remove the Joy-Cons while the charging grip remains attached to the Switch 2. It’s a simply clever design and even has a built-in kickstand. If you also like to use the Switch 2 docked to a larger screen, like a TV, the grip doesn’t affect compatibility.
So for the price, you get both the grip for the Switch 2 and a 10,000 mAh power bank with a cable for easy plug-and-play charging. Belkin says the power bank can recharge the Switch 2 up to 1.5 times and can monitor the battery level through a circular LED display on the unit.

Less electronic, but no less useful, is the Nintendo Switch 2 Travel Bag, which is not only a fashion-forward way to carry the console, but also offers dedicated storage for key accessories. It can hold the Switch 2, a Pro Controller and other accessories. Like other Belkin cases, it also includes slots for up to 10 game cards. It’s worth noting that it’s designed to work with Charging Grip, meaning these two products go hand in hand.
You’ll also have room inside for other accessories, and whether you prefer an AirTag, Tile tracker, or MotoTag, there’s a dedicated slot for one. The Belkin Travel Bag for Nintendo Switch 2 is available now for $49.99 / £29.99 / AU$54.95 on the brand’s online store and Amazon.

Both the travel bag and the charging handle come in three colors: black, lilac and olive. While the last two add a bit of color, I still expect Belkin to ramp up the vibrancy and introduce some more fun shades if these accessories prove popular.
