‘Bridgerton’ Star Phoebe Dynevor Breaks Silence on Return

Dear Bridgeton Fans: Daphne hasn’t fooled high society; They just haven’t invited her back…yet.

Phoebe Dynevor, who directed the first season of Bridgerton along with Regé-Jean Page, makes things clear about his notable absence.

“I just want to say that I haven’t gotten a call,” he shared, “and when I get that call, I’ll be there if I can.”

Translation: The Duchess is booked… but available.

After a brief cameo in season two, where Daphne offered some sisterly wisdom to Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony, the character quietly disappeared as the show moved on to the love lives of other siblings.

According to Dynevor, that wasn’t exactly part of some grand plan.

“When the first season came out they didn’t know what they had to implement,” he explained. “So I think we were like the ones that got away, in a way… I would always come back if they asked me.”

So yes, she is open. Very open.

As for her on-screen husband, things are a little more complicated: Page has been less eager to reprise Simon. But don’t expect a reworked plot twist.

Showrunner Jess Brownell quickly dismissed that idea, calling it a “disservice” to what the original actors built.

“We’d love to have them back…when we have something really substantial for them.”

For now, future seasons are already scheduled, but if Daphne returns, it will be worth the wait.
