Meghan Markle appeared to have failed in her latest endeavor as she worked to create a repertoire to strengthen her brand.
The As Ever founder had appeared on MasterChef Australia, a much-loved and watched cooking competition around the world, but a brutal verdict from a Michelin-trained chef exposed a bitter reality.
On the show, Meghan was invited as a guest judge and the contestants had to prepare a dish “worthy of a duchess.” Chef Jameson Stocks criticized the show for being “completely sold out” as it seemed like a gimmick to gain more viewers.
He called it a “disgrace” as Meghan’s “lack of food knowledge is quite evident on her own show.”
“MasterChef has always been a beacon for showcasing great talents. I would be ashamed,” he said. UK Express.
“She is only considered on MasterChef because of her status,” he said.
“The producers know that the press will write about her and that her presence will attract viewers. They might as well put a mannequin on the show, given how little knowledge she seems to have about food.”
He added that the goal of the cooking competition should have been to inspire and encourage people to get out of their comfort zone.
“People need to take control and bring truly talented people into these networks. She will never gain credibility within the restaurant industry because she simply lacks the necessary knowledge.”
