Colin Farrell talks about the production of ‘The Batman Part II’

Colin Farrell has confirmed that he is weeks away from flying to London to start filming Batman Part II, and his enthusiasm for the project is difficult to contain.

talking to ColliderThe Irish actor revealed that he will be traveling to the UK in four or five weeks to reprise his role as Oz Cobb, aka the penguinin the highly anticipated sequel to director Matt Reeves’ 2022 film.

His involvement, he acknowledged, is relatively contained.

“I’m going to fly to London in four or five weeks. I don’t have much to do, but I’ll go for four or five weeks. I’ll be there for a few weeks. I’m really excited to see it as a fan.”

That last line says a lot.

Farrell’s praise for the script has been consistent and positive in multiple interviews.

“It’s extraordinary,” he said. Collideradding that Reeves “just cares deeply about the stories he tells.”

“I’m saying too much. I think he’s going to make an extraordinary movie.”

Farrell also shed some light on how the narrative connects to his standalone HBO series. the penguinsaying comic that the sequel begins a few weeks after the show concludes.

“Death at the end of the batman and the devastation within Gotham opened a power vacuum that Oz could then attempt to exploit. It was perfect for the eight parallel hours we had. And then Batman part II “It will continue, whatever, a few weeks after the show ends.”
