Duchess Sophie showed her emotions as she witnessed a sweet father-daughter moment between Prince Edward and Lady Louise Windsor at a key event.
A few days ago, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh not only completed her graduation from the University of St Andrews but also received a notable award.
As she continued the royal legacy, Lady Louise joined 600 young people to receive the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Like her father and late grandfather, Prince Philip, Edward and Sofia’s only daughter honored family tradition.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was founded 70 years ago by Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh, and 40 years ago Prince Edward received his own Gold Award from his father.
The aim of the award is to help “young people gain confidence and skills that allow them to reach their full potential,” Palace said.
Now, a video of the ceremony in which Edward presented the award to his daughter reached social networks.
The duke said, “There you go. Look. Just to show that you really did it.”
Lady Louise replied: “I did.”
Notably, Duchess Sophie was also present and was captured admiring her daughter at such an important milestone in her life.
