Duchess Sophie’s close bond with Charlotte, George and Louis is on display

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis delighted royal fans by attending the annual Trooping the Color event on Saturday, while riding in a carriage alongside their mother, Princess Kate.

The Princess of Wales later joined King Charles and Queen Camilla to watch the rest of the performance after the royal cavalcade arrived at the Horse Guard Parade.

Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward rode horses in the parade. To watch the performance, children from Wales had joined Duchess Sophie in watching from the window.

Heartwarming moments were captured as great aunt Sophie looked after the three Wales children and was seen giving what appeared to be explanations about the event.

This is not the first time the Duchess of Edinburgh has been seen looking after William and Kate’s children.

During previous Trooping the Color events, Sophie was with Charlotte and Louis and was seen answering questions when the children pointed out something in the process.

In a famous moment at King Charles’ coronation, Sophie leaned over to a smiling Charlotte to point something out.

Sophie already shares a good relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate. The duchess has reportedly been a shoulder to lean on for Catherine as she went through her cancer journey.

So it’s no surprise that Sophie seems to care for George, Charlotte and Louis.
