- Paramount+ releases the first trailer for Lioness season 3
- The release date is confirmed for August 2, 2026.
- Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman and creator Taylor Sheridan will return
The first advance of Lioness Season 3 has been released, returning to Paramount+ on August 2.
The explosive and incredibly chaotic 60-second first look confirms that series stars Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman will reprise their roles in new episodes.
As the official synopsis explains, “Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces surround his world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names fade, and paths are rearranged.
“Guided by Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe faces off against enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her in charge of a war that now touches every aspect of her life.”
Taylor Sheridan returns to write the series, as well as serve as executive producer.
You can catch up with him Lioness Season 3 trailer below, but after landman season 2, marshals, and Dutton Ranch It’s already airing this year, you can’t afford to miss it.
Opinion: The Lioness season 3 trailer doesn’t make any sense, but you have to look at what’s not shown
Look
Watch the above and you’ll be bombarded with explosions, kidnappings, and the gun-wielding Lioness squad breaking into abandoned buildings. At first glance, it’s exactly the same as the previous two seasons, with little difference.
But if something ain’t broke, you don’t fix it… and Lioness Delivering more of exactly what fans want is what could make it the strongest and most underrated Taylor Sheridan show of the bunch.
However, there could be a big change on the horizon…just look at what’s not shown. Joe and his husband Neal (Dave Annable) were having serious marital problems in Season 2, and judging by their sparse dialogue in the trailer, that could be about to get even worse.
“I’m scared for you… scared for the way this world became,” Neal says, and Joe replies, “The world didn’t become like this… it’s always been like this.”
It’s another stark reminder of how different their worlds and opinions are, and I don’t know if their relationship is strong enough to survive Joe’s genuinely life-or-death missions.
We’ll know more on August 2, although we don’t yet know how the season 3 episodes will be released.
