Floyd “Money” Mayweather built a fortune around his famous nickname. Now I may have to do some explaining.

The undefeated boxing icon faces a serious prison sentence after allegedly writing a bad check for a luxury watch in Las Vegas.

Clark County prosecutors charged the 49-year-old wrestler with two felonies, including theft of property valued at more than $100,000 and giving a check with intent to defraud.

Authorities say Mayweather’s alleged theft stems from a shopping trip on New Year’s Eve 2024, when he set his sights on a rare Audemars Piguet watch.

Mayweather paid with a $200,000 check from a Wells Fargo account, but the bank quickly returned it for insufficient funds.

Boutique owners reportedly spent more than a year quietly trying to collect the cash.

They even sent a certified demand letter to avoid a public scandal, but Mayweather allegedly tricked them.

A criminal summons followed and Mayweather’s defense team appeared on his behalf in a Las Vegas court on Monday.

If convicted of both felonies, the self-proclaimed billionaire faces a maximum of 24 years behind bars.

This bad $200,000 check appears to be just the tip of a huge financial iceberg.

A judge also recently ordered him to pay $1 million in back child support to a former dancer, and he is pursuing separate civil lawsuits over unpaid bills for private jet services and luxury apartment rentals in Manhattan.

The aging star has quickly lined up a series of upcoming exhibition fights, along with a highly anticipated September rematch against Manny Pacquiao.
