Freddy, the viral German soccer fan, will continue visiting the White House

NEWNow you can listen to Pak Gazette articles!

Freddy, the Germany superfan who stole the hearts of Americans by live-tweeting his experience in America for the first time, will still head to the White House despite receiving backlash that ultimately led him to deactivate social media.

Ambassador Nick Adams, special presidential envoy for the United States, tourism, exceptionalism and values in the Trump administration, confirmed to Pak Gazette Digital last month that Freddy had been invited to the White House.

Now, Adams issued a statement to Pak Gazette Digital saying that, “despite the vicious attempts by the hateful and angry radical left to mislead Freddy,” he will continue to attend his visit to the West Wing.

“Freddy’s only ‘crime’ was loving America and documenting his travels in a completely unbiased manner. This is what they do. They try to scare and silence anyone who doesn’t conform,” Adams’ statement read. “As special presidential envoy for tourism, I am proud that Freddy enjoyed his trip here. I refused to allow the radical left to turn something positive for our country into another victory for their politics of hate.

“In the true spirit of 250, I lifted Freddy up and made sure his mafia tactics did not succeed. The visit will go ahead as planned. The United States remains open for business and visitors who simply want to experience the best country on Earth. We will never let the mafia dictate who can enjoy it.”

This is a developing story. More to come.
