A twist hints that he might have faked his death with Kali and gone underwater in Iceland, leaving fans in full detective mode.
So what does Dustin think? According to Gaten, pretty grim.
“I definitely think Dustin thinks she’s dead. He’s such a pragmatic, scientific guy who analyzes all the evidence in front of him, and I don’t think he really believes it the same way an optimist like him does.” [Finn Wolfhard’s] “Mike would do it,” Gaten said.
“But her friend will probably always say that she thinks she’s alive.”
Translation: Dustin = facts over feelings…publicly, at least.
As for Gaten himself? He’s not exactly clinging to hope either.
“I think she would be [dead]but I also see a world where Matt and Ross would change things at some point. I think that’s his intention. So ‘I don’t know’ is what I’ll say now,” Gaten said.
Classis Duffers – will keep everyone guessing until the end.
Gaten shared his thoughts while promoting his new movie Pizza Movie, which is now streaming on Hulu.
