First there was The Big Bang Theorythen there was young sheldon. Now we have the HBO Max spin-off Stuart fails to save the universe wait until the end of July, and shortly after, the return of Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage for season 3.
Making a spin-off of a spin-off seems like a very Sheldon Cooper thing to do, and then young sheldon season 7, it was certainly a decision that made sense. For the past two seasons, we’ve followed the marriage of Sheldon’s older brother Georgie (Montana Jordan) to accidental cougar Mandy (Emily Osment).
There may be a 12-year age difference between them, but nowadays their emotions and maturity levels seem well adjusted. Here’s what we know about the multi-camera comedy’s return, including when we can expect it. Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage Season 3 episodes will arrive on Paramount+.

According to CBS’ fall 2026 schedule (which you can see below), season 3 will continue in the show’s regular time slot on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. What we don’t know yet is exactly when the new season will begin, but based on previous premieres, we can estimate that the episodes will debut in October 2026. The episodes will be available to stream the day after they air on Paramount+.
Again, we can expect a long mid-season break before the season resumes in early 2027.

The real point of intrigue will be to see if Sheldon (Iain Armitage) will eventually return to Medford after leaving Texas for CalTech at the end of young sheldon season 7. So far, he has not returned to the spin-off.

Based on the season 2 episodes, we can expect the rivalry between Georgie and Fred Fagenbacher to continue, while Mandy persists in pursuing her own career.
CeeCee is much older now, so it would be smart to use her more in the upcoming episodes. But unlike The Big Bang Theory and young sheldon, Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage isn’t as limited by the show’s story, meaning the creators could take the story almost anywhere.
Of course, based on what we learn about adult Georgie in TBBTGeorgie and Mandy will break up at some point. However, I imagine CBS will be willing to keep this spinoff going as long as possible, so don’t expect a divorce announcement just yet.
