Unknown individuals riding motorcycles allegedly threw a hand grenade at a police vehicle that was carrying out routine patrol tasks.

Sixteen people, including three police officers, were injured after unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade at a police patrol in Dera Murad Jamali on Thursday, police officials confirmed.
The blast took place near DC Chowk at Faseel Plaza in the main bazaar, which falls under the jurisdiction of Dera Murad Jamali town police station in Nasirabad district.
According to law enforcement officials, unknown assailants on motorcycles allegedly threw a hand grenade at a police vehicle carrying out routine patrol duties. The device detonated with a loud explosion, causing injuries to police personnel and civilians present in the busy market.
Emergency services and local residents rushed the injured to Dera Murad Jamali Teaching Hospital, where medical teams provided immediate treatment.
Hospital authorities said several victims suffered serious injuries, prompting four people to be rushed to a medical center in Larkana for specialized care.
According to police, those injured included local residents and passersby, as well as officers assigned to patrol at the time of the incident. The attack caused panic in the area as businesses temporarily closed and people fled for safety.
Soon after the explosion, police and security forces arrived in large numbers, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate those responsible.
Security measures were intensified throughout the city, particularly at sensitive locations and entry points, to prevent new threats.
Nasirabad Division has experienced security-related incidents in recent years, with armed groups repeatedly attacking police, security personnel and important government facilities.
