Two new toys for Spider-Man: New Day have been revealed, and they appear to spoil a major plot point in the upcoming film.
Related merchandise, which was unveiled on the official Hasbro Pulse website last weekend (April 25/26), seems to hint that the titular webslinger will be forced to fight another Marvel hero in his upcoming solo film. We already knew Banner would appear. In fact, reports first surfaced that Banner would appear in spider man 4 last May, but it was not until Spider-Man: New DayThe first trailer was released in mid-March and this was confirmed. But I digress. There had been speculation that Banner’s gamma-irradiated alias would also return, but until now, Sony and Marvel had not publicly acknowledged that the Hulk would be part of the process.
However, this linked product, along with the recent introduction of a new day The LEGO set not only confirmed that those rumors were true, but also that Spider-Man will fight the Hulk’s wild form at some point. In fact, the Hasbro Pulse Hulk collectible comes packaged with a web accessory that can be attached to Hulk’s hands, indicating that Spidey will need to turn on his fellow Avenger to stop him from laying waste to New York City.
Why this will happen is unclear, at least publicly. However, considering we haven’t seen Savage Hulk since Avengers: Infinity WarIt will take something, or someone, of great power to unlock Hulk’s unstoppable, fury-driven personality from causing widespread destruction.
Why Marvel Fans Are Excited About a Spider-Man vs. Hulk Encounter
Curiously, it is not a probable duel between the wall-crawler and the Hulk that aroused the curiosity of fans, but the description that accompanies the new Hulk figure.
“Spider-Man is surprised to see Hulk again after so long, and has no idea if Hulk will remember him,” he says. “Will Hulk be friend or foe?”

There are others, however, who are not convinced that this scene will play out.
On the same Reddit from which the above comments were taken, people point out that new day Technically it will be the first time that Parker and Banner meet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Of course, they were both present at Tony Stark’s funeral in Avengers: Endgamebut they’ve never interacted directly as their superhero alter egos, so how would Hulk know that Parker is Spider-Man?
It is a valid argument that would certainly prevent the aforementioned comic book scene from being recreated in spider man 4. While I’m in the camp of those who would love to see this translated from page to screen, I don’t see that happening for the above reason. I hope I’m wrong!
