Norway and England will meet in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 5:00 pm ET from Miami Stadium.
Norway advanced second in its group after beating Iraq 4-1 in its first match, Senegal 3-2 in its second match and losing to France 1-4 in its third match. In the knockout round, they beat Ivory Coast 2-1 before defeating Brazil 2-1 in the round of 16 to reach the first quarter-finals in Norway’s history. Erling Haaland sits just behind Argentina’s Messi in the race for the Golden Boot alongside Mbappé, scoring seven goals in the tournament so far.
England won their group, winning their first match against Croatia 4-2, drawing 0-0 with Ghana in their second match and beating Panama 2-0 in their third match. In the knockout phase, they needed a late comeback to defeat the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2-1 in the round of 32 and beat Mexico 3-2 in an epic round of 16. Harry Kane has scored six goals and Jude Bellingham has added four so far in the tournament.

How to watch Norway against England
Norway vs. England preview
Erling Haaland against the England centre-backs is the matchup to follow in these quarterfinals.
Haaland has scored in every game he has played in this World Cup, including two against Brazil in the round of 16. Norway don’t need long periods of possession to make them dangerous. Throw the ball wide, feed him quickly and he’ll do the rest before the defense can establish itself.
England have been sharper defensively than anyone Norway has faced so far. Deny early crossings. Prevent him from converting half chances into shots and Norway’s attack will lose its most direct weapon.
