Does Oliver die in Invincible season 4 episode 7?
No. Okay, Grand Regent Thragg, aka the de facto leader of the Viltrum Empire and the Big Bad of the entire Prime Video show, hands him his ass, but Oliver lives to fight another day.
Despite his older stepbrother Mark Grayson’s warning not to attack Thragg on his own earlier in this week’s episode, Oliver ends up doing just that. However, Thragg, who I’ll talk about later, makes easy work of Oliver: the incredibly powerful Viltrumite severs Oliver’s lower jaw, rips off his left arm from the elbow down, and leaves him for dead.
However, as I said, Invincible The penultimate episode of season 4 isn’t the end of the road for Mark’s half-Viltumite, half-Thraxan younger half-brother.
In the final minutes of ‘Don’t Do Anything Rash’, it is revealed that Oliver’s body was recovered by the Coalition of Planets. Back on Talescria, also known as the planetary headquarters of the freedom fighters, his surgeons replace his dismembered body parts with cybernetic prosthetics and place him in a medically induced coma inside a stasis chamber to aid his recovery.
Is Nolan dead in Invincible season 4 episode 7?

No, Mark and Oliver’s father also survives. That’s despite Thragg gutting it after Nolan, Mark, and Thaedus, with a little help from Space Racer’s extremely powerful Infinity Gun, destroyed the Viltrumites’ homeworld.
However, like Oliver, ‘Don’t Do Anything Rash’ confirms that Nolan is still alive and well. After Mark recovers following his own beating at the hands of Thragg, Allen informs him that Nolan did not succumb to his life-threatening injuries. Moments later, we see Mark reunite with his father in the room where Oliver’s stasis chamber is located, further confirming that Nolan is okay.
Does Thaedus die in Invincible season 4 episode 7?

Unlike the aforementioned individuals, the commander-in-chief of the Coalition of Planets dies in the seventh episode of this season. In fact, Thragg beheaded him after the destruction of Viltrum.
It is also a kind of ironic death. Previously in ‘Don’t Do Anything Rash’, we see the moment before Thaedus assassinates Argall, i.e. the former leader of the Viltrum Empire. Following Argall’s death, Thragg preserves the former’s skull as a reminder not only of the autocratic values instilled in the Viltrumites since their birth, but also of Thaedus’ betrayal and Thragg’s desire to take revenge on the man responsible for Argall’s death. The fact that Thragg kills Thaedus by beheading him brings Thaedus’ journey full circle.
Why does Thragg forgive Mark and Nolan in Invincible season 4 episode 7?

Because there are literally only a handful of Viltrumites left. Thragg wants those left to rebuild the nearly extinct race, so killing two of his kin in Mark and Nolan wouldn’t be in the best interest of Thragg or the Viltrumite species.
That’s an answer, anyway. The other is found in the last line spoken by Mark before the screen goes black and the end credits of this episode begin: that Thragg and his loyalists have headed to Earth.
Is Thragg about to lay waste to Mark’s home planet? I won’t spoil what happens next, but, if Thragg is seeking retaliation for what just happened on his own world, keeping Mark and Nolan alive to witness the possible destruction of Earth would be a major reason. You’ll have to find out if that’s what happens when episode 8 airs next week.
What is the Great Purge in Invincible?

Following Argall’s death, Thragg assumes control of the Viltrum Empire and one of his first decrees puts his race on a possible collision course with mass extinction.
In the comics and its animated adaptation for adults on one of the best streaming services, Thragg asks his fellow Viltrumites to eliminate the weakest of their species. Thus began a brief but no less catastrophic civil war in which every man, woman and child took every man for himself as the Viltrumites fought each other to eliminate all but the strongest.
At the end of the conflict that became known as the Great Purge, those who survived rebuilt Viltrum and repopulated their now significantly reduced numbers. While it was a hugely devastating event, it is an idea that, for a time, seemed to benefit Viltrum because only the toughest and most formidable members of his species remained.
That was the case, anyway, until the Viltrumite traitor known as Thaedus released the Plague Virus, a microorganism specifically designed to kill Viltrumites, onto their homeworld and decimated their population. Would this have happened if the Great Purge had not taken place and therefore the Viltrumite gene pool had been significantly larger? is a question that InvincibleThe source material doesn’t answer, but it’s something interesting to think about.
Why is Thragg so strong in Invincible?

This question is answered in ‘Don’t do anything rash’. However, in the midst of everything that happens in the last episode of the series, it gets lost in the noise.
However, essentially, Thragg has been trained from birth to be the strongest warrior at the disposal of the Viltrum Empire. He is a skilled combatant in many forms of fighting and has also fought in countless wars over the centuries, making him an even more formidable opponent for anyone.
On top of that, Thragg was also raised to be Viltrum’s most powerful fighter. He wasn’t genetically engineered per se, but his pure Viltrumite DNA, coupled with previous training and his survival of the Plague Virus (the latter of which nearly wiped out the entire Viltrumite race) means that almost no one, if anyone, can beat him in a duel.
Who voices Argall in Invincible?

That will be Frank Welker, whose acting career dates back to 1969, when he voiced Fred in the original film. Scooby Doo animated show..
Curiously, Invincible It’s a reunion of sorts between Welker and Peter Cullen, who voices Thaedus. In it transformers In the animated series, the pair played Megatron and Optimus Prime, also known as the respective leaders of the Decepticons and Autobots. Welker and Cullen also voiced characters from the Transformers film franchise, with Cullen reprising his role as Optimus Prime and Welker returning to play various Decepticons.
