The fallout from Little Mix shows no signs of cooling down.
Just hours after Perrie Edwards revisited the feud with her former bandmate Jesy Nelson, Jesy’s sister Jade responded with a passionate defense in an Instagram statement on Wednesday, June 10.
“People say that in life be better and stay quiet, but in reality sometimes that doesn’t help,” Jade wrote.
She went on to describe watching her sister endure years of criticism and struggles with mental health. “I have watched my sister go through hell and back for many, many years and very few will understand what it is like to be tormented, bullied and humiliated because of your appearance,” he said.
Jade also referenced Jesy’s past suicide attempts, writing, “I think when you try to end your life not once, but twice, it shows what a dark place you must be in and YES, it was because of a lack of support many, many times.”
That same day, Perrie appeared on Jamie Laing’s show. Great company podcast and emphasized that she did everything she could to help Jesy, despite Jesy claiming otherwise in her recent documentary.
“What bothers me the most is when situations like this happen and the other person doesn’t take any responsibility,” Perrie said.
But Jade had something to say about that.
“As far as not taking responsibility, that’s really all she’s done, she’s fully aware that it was hard work, she’s fully aware that it was hard to deal with, but through it all, if anyone else was struggling with a breakup, anxiety, life, she was there!”
