Legislator accused of illegal dispossession

Between 15 and 20 armed men allegedly scaled the border wall and forcibly took possession of the property

RAWALPINDI:

A citizen accused PML-N legislator Zia Ullah Shah of allegedly occupying a property in Rawalpindi and lodged a complaint during an open court session held by the CPO.

According to the complaint filed by Ayaz Khan, he purchased a canal property in Syedpur Scheme from its previous owners, obtained the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and started construction after obtaining building plan approval.

He said the caretakers, including one Mudassar, were residing in the under-construction house when 15 to 20 armed men allegedly scaled the border wall, entered the premises, threatened the guards and forcibly took possession of the property.

The complainant alleged that when he arrived at the scene after informing Rescate 15, the armed men pointed guns at him and prevented him from entering the house.

Speaking to The Express PAkGazette, Zia Ullah Shah rejected the allegations as fabricated.
