While much of the hi-fi-related focus here at TechRadar is directed at turntables and active speaker systems, the fact is that many members of the TechRadar team (myself included) are crazy about music and being able to hear it in the best quality possible, in particular.
That’s why I’m excited about products like the Lyngdorf TDAI-2210, a compact, premium streaming amplifier that does the job of three separate components. Being an integrated amplifier, it handles both pre-amp and power amplification (and can be used solely to do one or the other if you prefer), and has a built-in transmitter, giving instant access to any online music service you use.
And, as well as being an all-rounder, it’s also very powerful, capable of delivering up to 210 watts per channel into 4 ohms (if you’re not totally familiar with hi-fi lingo, that’s a lot!). There’s a lot more it can do, and it’s got some extra technical magic up its sleeve, and you can read it all in a comprehensive In-depth Australian review on our sister site What Hi-Fi (that review first appeared on Australian HiFi magazineof which I am also editor).

Reviewer Stephen Dawson praised the Lyngdorf TDAI-2210, stating that “every element of every little burst of sound was delivered with just the right intensity and control, which spoke to a wonderful cooperation between amplifier and speaker.”
And even at higher volumes (really too loud for normal listening), the Lyngdorf transmitter did not fail, with Stephen adding: “the music was thunderous but kept perfectly controlled, with a strong kick drum send and other parts of the kit well delivered.”
