Madonna surprised everyone after making a cameo during Sabrina Carpenter’s lively performance on Friday night, April 17, at the second weekend of Coachella.
Madonna performed together with Sabrina Carpenter in a duet of Fashion , like a prayer and a new track.
Carpenter was in the middle of performing Juno, usually the part of her ‘Short ‘n Sweet’ tour segment in which she playfully arrests a new celebrity, and this time she brought out Madonna.
The queen of pop appeared center stage to perform Vogue and joined Carpenter to debut a new duet.
The rumor surrounding the song is that it would appear on the singer’s next album. Confessions II.
Madonna then takes the microphone to give an extended speech to the humming audience.
Recalling her debut in 2006, the queen of pop said: “20 years ago today I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent and it was the first time I performed ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor Pt. 1’ in the United States, and that was very exciting for me, so you can imagine how exciting it is to come back 20 years later with the same boots, with the same corset, the jacket that I was wearing before, a Gucci jacket.”
“So it’s like a full circle moment, you know? Very meaningful to me,” he concluded.
It’s not just a coincidence that Madonna’s return to Coachella coincides with the reveal of her next album. Confessions IIearlier this week.
The album will be released on July 3, 2026, marking the first full-length album in seven years.
