Meghan Markle had a special update to share just an hour after the Princess of Wales officially revealed her first solo visit abroad since her battle with cancer.
It is understood that Meghan and Kate are not on speaking terms despite efforts made by Montecito to reconcile with the royals. Therefore, the Duchess of Sussex chose to share an interesting post for an upcoming event, which has meaning for both royal women.
The As Ever founder revealed that it was the “last day for expedited shipping” to arrive in time for International Mother’s Day.
“A few thoughtful details can make the day feel more special. Explore our Mother’s Day Gift Guide to find ready-to-ship, easy-to-gift pieces,” reads the post below the special edition scented candles that have been inspired by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
One candle, Signature Candle No. 506, is linked to Archie’s birthday on May 6 and is listed as “Date of Birth of Prince Archie of Sussex.” A second fragrance, Signature Candle No. 604, is inspired by Lilibet’s birthday on June 4 and listed as “Date of Birth of Princess Lilibet of Sussex.”
Authors and royal experts have noted that the Sussexes have a habit of sharing news around the same time as an important royal update.
According to a source cited by Rob Shuter, Meghan has been using a calculated strategy to “change the subject” and move the spotlight away.
Recently, with King Charles’ visit to the United States, a Palace source noted that “no one was remotely surprised” that “suddenly something appears in Montecito” when royalty is in the news cycle and receiving positive attention.
Sources claim it’s “not spontaneous,” which is why news of Kate’s first solo visit abroad to Italy after her battle with cancer made Meghan something come up within the hour.
