Meghan Markle, who has been busy building her brand, has sparked speculation in recent months about the Sussexes’ financial situation.
Despite reports claiming that the As Ever founder was planning an expansion, especially after Netflix cut ties with her lifestyle brand. Some sources claimed that Meghan could run out of money before the end of the year.
However, the Duchess of Sussex received some good news by earning a Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix show.
The 53rd annual awards show will air live on October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium, and Prince Harry and Meghan could appear.
This is Meghan’s first Emmy nomination, where her show, Love, Meghanfaces A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, Motherhood, and The magician of the paws in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category.
While the show has garnered significant recognition, it will not be returning for a third season on the streaming platform, and a spokesperson for Meghan confirmed this.
Although the streamer’s content director, Bela Bajaria, had emphasized that Meghan still maintains a relationship with Netflix and has other projects in the works.
This is expected to be a huge boost to Meghan’s financial situation as As Ever experienced a decline in buyers. Journalist Alison Boshoff had predicted an “imminent crisis” and pressure to sell jams, teas and floral confections before their expiration date at the end of next summer.
Otherwise, this could cost her millions, especially with Harry’s mounting legal debt, it could all have bankrupted her.
Therefore, a positive nod from the Emmys could favor Sussex.
