- Zero parades has a free TTRPG to play
- Adapt the setting and game mechanics to pencil and paper.
- It also comes with a free pre-made one-shot to help you learn the game.
Let’s face it, 2026, with its component price increases, widespread layoffs, cancellations, expensive AAA titles, and Sony’s promise to stop making physical games, has been something of a Ls year. But one of the few lights in this darkness, and a contender for game of the year, Zero parades for dead spies I just announced that there is new content coming out – it’s a tabletop version of their game and it’s completely free.
If you visit zeroparades.com/one-shot, you’ll find everything you need to get started, including a simple core rulebook and a One Shot story set in the Zero parades world 30 years before the events of the game.
One Shot comes with everything you need to play your first session, including location maps, pre-made characters, GM materials (to help whoever runs things), and custom rules that bring the game mechanics to life in TTRPG form.
Scratch the itch
Anyone who has played Zero parades for dead spies or his spiritual predecessor Elysée Nightclub You’ll have already felt the TTRPG-inspired elements: all of the games’ challenges are already presented as dice rolls.
As in Zero parades The pen-and-paper game has the same stats and abilities (Action, Relationship, Intellect) that determine how capable your character should be at certain actions, as well as details on how you can work to increase your chances of success, at the cost of increasing your fatigue, anxiety, or delirium, respectively.
You’ll also find clothing items that you can equip to improve (and sometimes also worsen) your stats, or tools that unlock actions like a camera that allows you to take photos to use later, or to remember a sick spy moment you just accomplished, the decision is all yours.
As a big fan of both TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and of Zero parades I had been thinking about adapting the digital game into something with pen and paper for my regular playgroup. With this free version I don’t need to do any work at all, although I love that there are resources to create your own adventure and stories if you want to move away from the pre-made One Shot.
Zero parades for dead spies It’s everything you would want from tracking to Elysée Nightclub. It maintains the post-Soviet vibes and aesthetics with a completely new story and setting. The gameplay is also very similar, with a few updates that fine-tune the mechanics in a way that feels better and, at the same time, completely familiar.
There is also that general and gradually increasing weirdness that made Elysée Nightclub It is a great pleasure to play.
So many people I know who loved Elysée Nightclub I had no idea Zero parades It’s something they can play, and the perfect game to soothe the itch. Elysée Nightclub leaves you with
Also, if you are reading this article on the day it comes out in full Zero parades for dead spies The game is 10% off for everyone and 20% off for Disco Elysium owners in the Steam Summer Sale. What are you waiting for? Go and play!
