NFL defenses could be looking at the son of a “genetic freak” this season.
Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, joined the New Orleans Saints in the offseason after initially signing with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in April.

The Saints posted photos of Rechsteiner wearing his father’s wrestling helmet and holding the World Heavyweight Championship.
“Big Gold always looks good on a Genetic Freak,” Steiner wrote in X on Tuesday.
“A genetic phenomenon,” he added on Monday.
The former Jacksonville State standout had 53 receptions for 629 yards and seven touchdowns from 2023 to 2025. In his final year with the Gamecocks, he had 36 receptions for 383 yards and five touchdowns.

Rechsteiner and his brother Brandon previously signed NIL deals with WWE last year. Brandon Rechsteiner was a guard for the Colorado State Rams men’s basketball team. He averaged 12 points per game with the Rams during the 2025-26 season and announced he would transfer to Kansas State.
Rechsteiner’s (Steiner) legacy is deeply rooted in WWE.
Scott Steiner and his brother Rick were tag team champions in professional wrestling. The two earned a nod to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. Rick Steiner’s son, Bronson Rechsteiner, is a major WWE star known as Bron Breakker.
