Hollywood loves dramatic moments, but this one wasn’t scripted.
Nicole Kidman reportedly pushed herself to the limit while filming a wrestling scene for Margo has money problems – and ended up in the hospital afterwards.
The twist? He had the flu all the time.
Co-star Nick Offerman set the stage: “We’ll be there in the morning…some of us are going to do some wrestling.” Then came the bad news: “Nicole has the flu and we may not be able to get Nicole back today.”
Spoiler: she showed up anyway.
“And we were like, ‘Oh, no…’” Offerman recalled. But Kidman entered, pale, trembling and not backing away at all. “She was so sick,” he said. Still, she pulled through like a professional.
“She showed up and made sure we got every shot of her, in true superhero style.”
Yes, superhero… with a fever.
After the physically intense shoot, Kidman was taken to the hospital for intravenous treatment, a not-so-glamorous close to a busy day of work.
Your way of thinking? Simple. “When I got in the ring, I just said, ‘Okay, let’s go.’”
That attitude pretty much sums up why he’s still at the top.
With co-stars like Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning, the show is already packed, but Kidman’s bravery might be her most talked-about performance.
