Ahead of the biggest soccer match in the country’s history, Norway had to make some last-minute logistical changes.

Norway will face England for a place in the World Cup semi-finals at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Saturday, but the Norwegian players apparently weren’t getting much rest.

According to The Independent, the players requested a change of hotel due to “noise and disturbance from the road outside their original hotel, as well as a nearby construction site.”

The team had been staying at the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, but has now moved to a hotel even closer to the stadium.

“It’s brutal having to move, but we’re happy with the new place and everyone is happy now,” a team representative told Pak Gazette Digital.

“Some people may fear that this will affect the players, but it was the players who wanted this more than anyone. We have strong people in our support team and we managed to move in two and a half hours. The process of changing hotels is not ideal, but we wanted to act as soon as possible. Having a good environment is the most important thing.

“We will stay in Miami for a week, and we have already been in the United States for six weeks and we are going to play the most important game in Norwegian history. So far we have avoided cabin fever and we don’t want to take any risks now. FIFA has accepted that we must move to another hotel.”

The Independent said FIFA has agreed to pay for 50 rooms and security at the new hotel, while the Norwegian Football Association will pay additional charges to accommodate the hotel change.

Norway got carried away by Erling Haaland, who scored two second-half goals on Sunday as Norway beat Brazil in the round of 16.

Players on the team have also been dealing with illness in recent days.

This is only the fourth time Norway has played in the World Cup and the first since 1998, but this team has conquered its country. This is the first time they have advanced beyond the round of 16.
