Today I had to resist the temptation to go in search of things I could “devour”, like pizza, peanuts or chocolate (this was after detecting “beer” and “gyro”).
I tried to remember the children’s story that contained the phrase “I will devour you!” but it completely failed because practically everyone does it.
Of course it’s BILLYGOATSGRUFF, as I discovered after two clues gave me STEP and HORNS; a typically horrifying tale where the phrase “I will devour you” is followed by “and put your bones in a sack!” Sleep well, children!
